In addition to traditional talk therapy, I offer training in Mindfulness-based practices. Simply stated, mindfulness is the practice of staying present in the moment, by witnessing our habitual thoughts and emotions rather than reacting to them. Mindfulness is a powerful tool for working with negative thoughts and emotions, and is extremely effective in managing anxiety, stress, depression, and addictive behaviors, to mention just a few. I provide training in techniques that can produce dramatic results, often in a matter of weeks.

The services I offer are effective if you are:
  • dealing with a recent loss or having difficulty
  letting go of the past
  • struggling with depression, anxiety, anger, fear or sadness
  • having difficulty maintaining healthy lifestyle choices and managing stress
  • dealing with compulsive or addictive behaviors with alcohol, drugs, or food
  • repeating unwanted patterns of behavior or experiences
  • experiencing a loss of motivation, or feelings of emptiness
  • having difficulties communicating in relationships with family, friends, or co-workers
  • having difficulty sustaining intimate relationships
  • struggling with issues relating to sexuality or sexual orientation
  • having difficulty navigating major life transitions
