I earned my Master's Degree in Social Work in 1995, and am licensed by the state of Washington as an Independent Clinical Social Worker. Professional affiliations include the National Association of Social Workers and the Northwest Alliance for Psychoanalytic Study. I've served as an adjunct faculty field instructor for the University of Washington School of Social Work.
In additional to my private practice, my clinical background includes outpatient and inpatient counseling, including extensive work with critically ill patients, and end-of-life care. Weight Loss support is one of my specialties, and I am a contracted provider for the 20/20 Lifestyles Program. Other areas of specialty include mindfulness, relationship issues, grief and loss, depression, anxiety and stress management, eating disorders, lifestyle management, life transitions, and family-of-origin issues. My training includes Mindfulness Based approaches, Psychodynamic theory, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Systems theories, and Integral Theory, among others. My training allows me to draw upon the approaches best suited for each individual, and I work in partnership with you to develop a plan based on your needs and goals.
